Got Twitter?  This seminar will feature visiting scholar, Dr. Rosalind Picard, Professor of Media Arts and Sciences and Director, Affective Computing Research Group, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.   Dr. Picard will discuss the paradox of digital media—the ways in which digital media both connects and disconnects us from our students, simultaneously expanding and reducing our capacity to engage students intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.  Participants will be invited to share concrete reflections on the opportunities and challenges of teaching in a digitally-rich environment.
